I'm Idris.
For almost 18 years I have worked in the financial sector, in various roles, including product owner and compliance officer. In those roles I always worked closely with IT colleagues, from making improvements to setting up new systems. Working reliably and with integrity is in my DNA.
How it started
I am always curious about new technology. With the help of AI I built an app for pool players, and then my own accounting software. When a friend got stuck with Microsoft 365 for his business, I helped him sort it out. That is when I thought: I can do this for more people.
What makes me happy
A problem someone has been struggling with for a long time. When it works again and I see how happy they are, that is why I do it.
How I work
- Patient, calm and analytical. I explain what I do, without jargon.
- Honest and open. I tell you what I can do, and also what I can't.
- Open about AI. I use Claude as a tool and check everything myself. I never share your personal data with it.
When and where
I have a day job, so I help you in the evenings and at weekends. I take on at most one job per day, so I really have time for you. I prefer to work in Zaandam and Amsterdam, but anywhere in North Holland is fine. Live further away? Then we'll see together whether it can be done remotely, or agree on a travel fee.
Besides IC Digital I have a family, I am a keen pool player and I enjoy going to the gym.
